Each chair features a broad, softly curved backrest with a dramatic central cut-out, creating a light architectural profile while showcasing the warmth and grain of the teak.

The tapered legs and gently shaped frames give the chairs a refined Danish modern presence, while the black upholstered seats provide a clean contrast against the wood. Balanced, comfortable and visually striking from every angle, the Peter chair remains one of Koefoed’s most recognizable seating designs.

DETAILS

Designer: Niels Koefoed

Maker: Koefoeds Hornslet

Origin: Denmark

Period: 1960s

Material: Solid Teak · Premium Naugahyde Matte Black upholstery

Configuration: Set of 6 dining chairs

Dimensions:
Width: 19" Depth: 20" overall | 15.5" seat Height: 21" overall | 18" seat

Condition: Newly refinished

Restoration: MCL Standard

Design Details: Peter chair design · Sculpted open-back silhouette · Broad curved backrest · Dramatic central cut-out · Tapered legs · Black upholstered seats · Warm teak grain · Danish modern proportions · Sculptural profile from all angles

Condition report: Professionally restored by MCL.
